Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Product Development
  • Create apparel designs, colorways, trims, and graphics aligned with brand direction.
  • Prepare design sketches, tech packs, spec sheets, and artwork for production.
  • Review samples (proto, fit, pre-production, and production) and provide clear revision feedback.
  • Conduct fittings and recommend improvements on fit, construction, and materials. 
2. Merchandising & Commercial Alignment
  • Develop product assortments based on market trends, target customers, and pricing strategy.
  • Ensure designs meet target cost, margin, and retail price requirements.
  • Analyze sales data, trends, and customer feedback to refine product direction.
  • Support pricing decisions and product positioning. 
3. Supplier & Production Coordination
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding sampling, materials, costing, and timelines.
  • Request and review quotations, negotiate costs, and ensure cost accuracy.
  • Track sample progress, production schedules, and shipment timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and brand requirements. 
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with merchandising, planning, marketing, operations, and sales teams.
  • Support product launches, visual merchandising needs, and marketing materials.
  • Align product designs with operational and production capabilities. 
5. Documentation & Process Management
  • Maintain organized records of samples, approvals, and development documents.
  • Update project trackers, calendars, and approval systems in a timely manner.
  • Follow established product development and approval workflows. 
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements

  • Graduate of Clothing Technology, Fine Arts, Multimedia Arts, Fashion Design, Merchandising, or related field.
  • Completion of relevant short courses or certifications in fashion, design, or related creative fields is an advantage.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in the garment or apparel industry; experience in apparel design and/or merchandising is a plus.
